YANMAR AW85G Self-Propelled Combine Harvester – Track Type
The YANMAR AW85G Combine Harvester is a high-performance 85 PS crawler-type harvesting machine designed for efficient rice and grain harvesting. It combines a powerful turbocharged Yanmar diesel engine, 1975 mm cutting width, axial-flow threshing system, 1030-litre grain tank and wide 500 mm rubber crawlers for dependable operation in wet and muddy fields.
The YANMAR AW85G Combine Harvester is designed for high-speed harvesting with stable threshing, efficient grain separation and strong mobility in demanding agricultural conditions. It is a self-propelled, conventional-type combine equipped with a grain tank and crawler undercarriage, making it particularly suitable for paddy fields and other areas where wheeled machines may struggle with soft or muddy soil.
At the heart of the AW85G is Yanmar’s 4TNV98T-ZCNRCC engine, a Tier 3, water-cooled, four-stroke, four-cylinder vertical turbocharged diesel engine. It has a displacement of 3318 cc and develops 62.5 kW / 85 PS at 2500 rpm. Yanmar describes the engine as electronically controlled to help maintain stable engine speed even when travelling or threshing load changes.
The AW85G uses an HST transmission with hydraulic side clutch and three travel ranges. Maximum travel speed reaches about 1.91 m/s in the high-speed range. Its 500 mm-wide rubber crawlers reduce ground pressure and improve traction in wet or muddy paddy fields.
The header uses a reel + platform configuration with a cutting width of 1975 mm. The reel measures 900 × 1920 mm, rotates at 44 rpm and uses chain drive. Yanmar notes that the chain-driven reel helps pick up lodged rice plants more effectively.
Threshing is performed by an axial-flow bar system with a vertical front rotor. The rotor measures 640 × 1850 mm, while grain separation uses vibratory motion, a winnower and reprocessing system. The selection plate measures 850 × 1410 mm, helping separate grain from chaff and dust.
The machine is fitted with a large 1030-litre grain tank and unloading auger. Official specifications list an unloading distance of approximately 2730 mm, an unloading height of up to 4070 mm, and a discharge time of approximately 85 seconds.
