YANMAR YR80D Rice Transplanter is designed for farmers, agricultural contractors and large-scale paddy cultivation operations that require faster, more accurate and less labour-intensive rice transplantation. It combines Yanmar diesel-engine technology with an 8-row rotary planting system to increase field productivity while maintaining uniform planting quality.

The machine uses Yanmar's 3TNM72-CUP2, a vertical, water-cooled, four-stroke, three-cylinder diesel engine. Its maximum output is 15.4 kW / 20.9 PS, with a displacement of 903 cc. A large 37-litre fuel tank supports extended field operation.

One of the important features of the YR80D is its Hydro Mechanical Transmission (HMT). The transmission provides two forward stages and one reverse stage while allowing smooth speed control during planting. Yanmar describes the system as particularly useful for stronger and faster movement in deep-field conditions.

The YR80D provides car-like operation, making the machine easier to control even for operators with limited experience. Steering-wheel operation and foot-pedal speed control help reduce operator effort during long working periods.

For accurate transplanting, the machine uses automatic hydraulic leveling control, known as UFO control. This helps the planting section maintain an appropriate position even when field surfaces are uneven, supporting more uniform seedling placement.

The machine transplants eight rows simultaneously using a rotary planting mechanism. Row spacing is 300 mm, while plant-to-plant spacing can be adjusted to approximately 280, 200, 170, 150 or 120 mm. Planting depth is adjustable from 15 mm to 60 mm in six steps, allowing the operator to adapt the machine to different soil and seedling conditions.
